Día Hispanidad (5th and 6th grade).

We did activities for Día Hispanidad, or Columbus Day in the United States, with 5th and 6th grade, some of the English Langague Learners in the school. A story was translated and made into a big book for the students. They listened to the history in both English and Spanish in relationship to what it meant for both of our countries. Christopher Columbus did much of the planning for his voyages in different cities around Andalucía so the students were already familiar with his name and some of the history surround the events he was part of.
